Why Vacuum Thermoforming?
If your part is large, your volumes are low-to-mid, and your timeline is tight — thermoforming usually wins. Here's why.
The Process
- Heat plastic sheet heated to forming temperature
- Form vacuum draws the sheet onto a single-sided mold
- Cool part solidifies on the mold
- Trim CNC trimming to final geometry

At low-to-mid volumes, amortized tooling cost dominates part economics. That's where thermoforming delivers the lowest total cost — without compromising on automotive-grade quality.
